The previous VAT program asks prospective volunteers to choose a destination, select a program and provide personal, travel and eligibility information before being considered for acceptance.
Before you apply
For volunteer-only and combined experiences, ask the team for the current official application form. The WordPress version of this site will need a configured application form with secure storage and email delivery; importing a page does not automatically create a functional form.
Information typically requested
- Country and program type: volunteering or combined program
- Preferred start date and intended length of stay
- Full legal name, nationality, date of birth and contact details
- Emergency contact details
- Skills, relevant experience and motivation
- Accessibility, dietary or accommodation requirements as appropriate
- Agreement to current terms and any required safeguarding standards
Selection and next steps
Program applications are reviewed before a place is confirmed. After acceptance, the team can send current booking instructions, required documentation and payment details. Avoid making payments to unverified channels.
