YOUR JOURNEY, EXPLAINED

How It Works

A practical step-by-step route from choosing a focus area to starting a community-focused volunteering and travel experience.

How It Works

01 — Explore programs

Choose between volunteering, a travel tour, or the combined format. Compare destinations, objectives, duration, requirements and accessibility.

02 — Check eligibility

Review age, language, education, health and safeguarding requirements. Confirm whether your skills are suitable for the intended project.

03 — Apply or enquire

Volunteer-only and combined journeys require application review and acceptance. For travel-only experiences, ask about booking dates and the available itinerary.

04 — Get written confirmation

Confirm the latest availability, exact inclusions, exclusions, final amount, payment policy and cancellation terms. Do not rely on archived pricing.

05 — Prepare to depart

Arrange your passport, appropriate visa or entry documents, comprehensive travel insurance, vaccinations or personal medical advice as applicable, and a sensible packing list.

06 — Participate responsibly

Follow local coordinators, respect community privacy, observe safeguarding guidance, remain within your qualifications and support a positive learning exchange.

07 — Reflect and stay connected

After your placement, reflect on what you learned, seek feedback and explore ways to support community-led efforts from home.
